Blue Cave & Five Islands Expedition
An unforgettable full-day Adriatic adventure combining dramatic coastal scenery, hidden caves, remote islands, and some of Croatia's clearest waters.

The day
The Adriatic, beyond the postcards
The Blue Cave & Five Islands is the tour people write home about. It's a long day on the water — usually 9 to 10 hours — reaching some of the most remote and dramatic corners of the central Adriatic. You'll cross open sea, glide into a cave lit electric-blue from below, swim in coves you'd never find without a boat, and finish the afternoon in Hvar's harbour before turning back to Split.
It's built for guests who want to see the extraordinary parts of Croatia and don't mind an early start to do it. Families, small groups, couples celebrating something — this tour is our most requested for a reason.
Route
Where the day takes you
Blue Cave, Biševo
Our first stop. Sunlight enters through an underwater opening around midday and the whole chamber glows electric blue. Small transfer boats take you inside — we time our arrival to skip the worst of the queues.
Stiniva Cove, Vis
A hidden beach walled by 100-metre limestone cliffs. Voted one of Europe's most beautiful. You can only reach it by boat or a steep hike — we swim in.
Budikovac Island
Turquoise lagoon anchorage, warm shallow water, no crowds. This is where most of our guests take their longest swim of the day.
Vis or Komiža
Lunch break in an old fishing town — quiet, unmodernised, some of the best seafood on the Adriatic. Your call which one, or skip if you want to stay on the water.
Pakleni Islands & Hvar
Late afternoon in the Pakleni archipelago — clear water, pine forests, and a look at Hvar town's harbour before we turn back toward Split.

What guests say about this tour
Island Hopping with Rebelde was fantastic!
We had the best day ever island hopping from Split with Rebelde luxury speedboat tours. Great fun with the loveliest people and super swimming spots. We truly felt like VIPs for a day as we celebrated our anniversary. Would highly recommend Rebelde — hope to do it all again one day.
An unforgettable experience and a perfect day at sea!
The speedboat ride was absolutely amazing — fast, comfortable, and full of positive energy! We visited three beautiful islands, each with crystal-clear sea and wonderful spots for swimming and relaxing. Everything went exactly as agreed, relaxed yet professional. The skipper Čedo was fantastic, friendly, and showed us the best hidden coves. This was definitely the highlight of our vacation and a trip to remember.
Like sailing with 10 friends — the highlight of our trip
We were a group of 8 and had an absolutely brilliant day with Dinko and Bruno. Our original tour ended up being unavailable, but they put together an alternate itinerary — and it turned out to be the highlight of our entire trip. From start to finish everything was easy. They organised lunch, were flexible throughout the day, and really knew the islands and all the best spots. What made it special was how relaxed and genuine they both were. By the end it didn't feel like a tour at all.
Questions
Common questions about this tour
- How long is the boat ride to the Blue Cave from Split?
- Roughly 1 hour 30–40 minutes by speedboat, depending on sea conditions.
- When does the famous blue glow look the best?
- Late morning (around 10:00–13:00) usually gives the strongest color, but clouds and sea state can shift it.
- What if the cave is closed due to waves?
- Harbor authorities shut it when the entrance is unsafe. If that happens, we reroute to extra bays or extend time elsewhere.
- What's the total duration of this trip?
- Plan for a full day — around 10 to 11 hours, including boat rides and all stops.
- Is the ride bumpy? What if I get seasick?
- Open-sea stretches can get choppy. If you're prone to motion sickness, take tablets before departure.
- What if the weather is bad?
- Your safety is our priority. If conditions don't allow for a safe trip, we'll reschedule or offer a full refund — no questions asked.
